Here's another installment in my Bandit Queen blog series. This time I cover the movie "Bandit Queen 2". If you have not seen it before, it is a sequel to a 2008 film with some very powerful moments of how women are treated in rural India. The review covers this motion picture so you can decide if it is worth your time or not. The next article will focus on "Blade Runner 2049". Summary: Bandit Queen 2 is the sequel to the 2008 film that garnered worldwide acclaim for its powerful portrayal of women in rural India, never before seen on screen. Starring: Nandita Das, Adil Hussain, Lalit Behl, Lisa Ray, Anupam Kher and others. Directed by: Shelly Chopra Dhar. The 2008 film "Bandit Queen" has held an important place in Indian Cinema and is widely revered as a landmark movie that shed light on just how poorly women were treated in certain parts of the nation and gave a voice to them and their plight. It was nominated for Best Film at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards and Best Film at the Cairo International Festival of Independent Cinema. It also won two National Film Awards for Best Actress (Seema Biswas) and Best Supporting Actress (Divya Dutta). The sequel to this film is 2016's "Bandit Queen 2", also known as "The Story of Ramgarh" and deals with similar issues but focuses on different aspects of this problem. The movie deals with female infanticide, human trafficking, sexual and physical abuse and many other social ills that plague not just Indian society but many others around the world. With the help of a small group of activists, many have been recruited and trained to become an extension of the state police force called "Rapid Response Units", devoted solely to protecting women and children from a wide variety of crimes. The story explores how the lives of four women through different stages in their lives influence one another and how they work together to fight social ills that have plagued India, especially rural areas. In doing so the film highlights important themes such as feminism, corruption, conservation and punishment. It is set in a rural Indian village that is no longer underdeveloped but rather under development by a group called "Promotional Club" run by a man named Madan Singh Hachra. The film explores the lives of the women who live in the village and their struggles to cope with these changing times. The movie begins with a flashback to two years earlier where a new police force is created from the ground up, giving young girls a chance to be police officers. On their first day of work they encounter some criminals and then later that night move into an abandoned school and set up camp for this first night of deployment. The next morning they are woken by loud screams and see four women hanging from a tree, decapitated by Madan Singh Hachra's workers. cfa1e77820
